Dear Editor,

I really felt enriched reading the December 2021 issue of ‘The Anvil’. Especially, Abhinav’s article on Marxist theory of the relationship between theory and practice, Bipin Balaram’s article on the commodification of data were quite enlightening. One wonders how any Marxist can take the line of nationalist deviation in present times. I have the article on Trot-Bundists of Lalkar group in mind.

The journal raises the most relevant questions of the communist movement and problematises the axiomatic answers. However, the regularity is a concern and I would request the editorial team to pay heed to that.

I accidentally came across this journal through a friend in Pune and found it quite stimulating. I must congratulate the editor and the team behind the journal for beginning a project that was the need of the hour: a journal of Marxist theory. The article on conspiracy theories and their intellectual bankruptcy was very interesting. I always found such theories problematic but could not put my finger on anything tangible. The article helped me concretize my criticism. The editorial on the farmers’ movement and it real class character too was extremely well-written, lucid and consistent. Mostly I agree with the points made in the editorial.

I was wondering anything is planned in the next issues on the question of feminism, women liberation and Marxist line on these issues?

PS: Articles of Kautsky on intellectuals was a revelation!

Hello,

I was wondering how I can get my hands on the December 2021 Anvil Edition – there are a couple of articles that seem to offer very useful information for my own research work.
