Reader’s View

Dear Comrades,
In this time of great conflict, we look to the workers of India as the force for social transformation. You can be sure that you have the full support of allies in the imperialist countries who reject capitalism and unequal exchange. We collectively are struggling against rapacious neoliberal capitalism at a time of opportunity. The Anvil and Bigul Mazdoor Dasta organization are a source of inspiration for us all and we look to the workers of India, mobilized in a party to build socialism and defeat the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie.  All power to the Soviets!

Lal salam comrades,
I hope all is well. Comrades, I have gone through the Anvil. This is a great Marxist magazine. It has great contributions to Marxist-Leninist theory. Comrades, unfortunately I have found only some articles, and therefore want to read complete issues. If it is easy, then send to me its soft copies. I would be grateful to you.
Bolshevik regards,

Dear Editor
I’m a regular reader of The Anvil. It helps me take a correct viewpoint and a correct marxist understanding on contemporary issues. I’ve read the articles of fifth issue of The Anvil. I found them quite compelling.
The article ‘Re-election of Narendra Modi’ correctly pointed out the reasons of victory of Modi Government in Lok Sabha election of 2019. And it’s true that the utopia of progressive, left, left-liberal, liberal-left intelligentsia that the economic crisis led by Modi Government will automatically lead to the political crisis for BJP had to be destroyed. In absence of any political agent, that would transform economic discontent into political resistance, the possibilities of masses to move towards reactionary forces will increase. I completely agree that parliamentary defeat of BJP is not enough for defeating fascism.
The article on Kashmir was also very helpful to understand the ongoing intervention of fascist regime in Kashmir. It is so true that Kashmir was betrayed continuously since independence. And the Kashmiris have right to decide their future. Therefore right to self determination should be given to the Kashmiris.
I believe that journal like The Anvil should be published on regular basis. And it should be widely distributed.

“The universality of man appears in practice precisely in the universality which makes all nature his inorganic body – both inasmuch as nature is (1) his direct means of life, and (2) the material, the object, and the instrument of his life activity. Nature is man’s inorganic body – nature, that is, insofar as it is not itself human body. Man lives on nature – means that nature is his body, with which he must remain in continuous interchange if he is not to die. That man’s physical and spiritual life is linked to nature means simply that nature is linked to itself, for man is a part of nature.

In estranging from man (1) nature, and (2) himself, his own active functions, his life activity, estranged labor estranges the species from man. It changes for him the life of the species into a means of individual life. First it estranges the life of the species and individual life, and secondly it makes individual life in its abstract form the purpose of the life of the species, likewise in its abstract and estranged form.”
